I wish I could take credit for this, but it was an email forward and I don’t know who the author is. Enjoy!

—————————————————————-

A man goes out golfing. He is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next to the green. He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears, “Ribbit 9 Iron.”

The man looks around and doesn’t see anyone. Again, he hears, “Ribbit 9 Iron.” He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts the club away, and grabs a 9 iron. Boom! He hits it
10 inches from the cup. He is shocked. He says to the frog, “Wow that’s amazing. You must be a lucky frog?” The frog replies, “Ribbit Lucky frog.”

The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole. “What do you think frog?” the man asks. “Ribbit 3 wood.” The guy takes out a 3 wood and Boom! Hole in one. The man is befuddled and doesn’t know what to say. By the end of the day, the man golfed the best game of golf in his life and asks the frog, “OK where to next?” The frog replies, “Ribbit Las Vegas .”

They go to Las Vegas and the guy says, “OK frog, now what?”
The frog says, “Ribbit Roulette.” Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks, “What do you think I should bet?” The frog replies, “Ribbit $3000, black 6.” Now, this is a million-to-one shot to win, but after the golf game the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table.

The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel.
He sits the frog down and says, “Frog, I don’t know how to repay you. You’ve won me all this money and I am forever grateful.” The frog replies, “Ribbit Kiss Me. ” He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him, he deserves it. With a kiss, the frog turns into a Gorgeous girl.

“And that is how the girl ended up in my room Elin. So help me God or my name is not Tiger Woods.”

Here are the full details on the expanded recall I mentioned this morning…

********************************************************************************

New York  CNNMoney.com) — Toyota announced Wednesday night that it is adding another 1.1 million vehicles to an an earlier 4.2 million vehicle recall originally announced in November. The vehicles are being recalled to fix a problem in which the gas pedal can become caught on the edge of the removable floormat, causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably.

The vehicles now being added to that recall are the 2008-2010 Highlander, 2009-2010 Corolla, 2009-2010 Venza 2009-2010 Matrix, 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe. General Motors’ Pontiac car is included in the recall because the Vibe and Toyota’s Matrix are similar vehicles that were produced under a partnership between the two companies.

The vehicles originally included in this recall were the 2007-2010 Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Avalon, 2004-2009 Prius, 2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2007-2010 Lexus ES350, 2006-2010 and the 2006-2010 IS250 and IS350.

This recall is separate from one announced last week regarding accelerator pedals that could stick on their own. That recall involved 2.3 million vehicles.

Most, but not all, of the vehicles involved in the more recent recall are also involved in the older recall. They are the 2009-2010 Toyota RAV4, Corolla and Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe; the 2005-2010 Avalon; 2010 Highlander; 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2008-2010 Sequoia; and some 2007-2010 Camrys.

In the more recent recall, Toyota has not yet announced a proposed remedy for the problem. Owners who experience sticking or slowness in the movement of their car’s gas pedal should stop driving the car and call a Toyota dealer immediately.

I think we all agree it’s good to be fit. But Tyra Banks is doing something very cool to shift our perception of beauty away from the unhealthy-looking waifish appearance we see on runways. Read on for info about the model search I mentioned on the air this morning!

Tyra is ready for a new modeling competition. The America’s Next Top Model host/producer announced on her talk show that she’s looking for young, plus-sized women, ages 13 to 19, to compete in her Fiercely Real Teen Model Search. Tyra tells Us Magazine’s website, “I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty… Adolescence is such an impressionable time in a young woman’s life, and I hope this contest helps teen girls discover their own beauty from the inside out.”

Information on how to enter can be found at The Tyra Show’s official website:
 http://tyrashow.warnerbros.com/fun/teenm…

Finalists will be introduced on the March 2nd episode, with the winner being announced the following day. The winner will receive a one-year modeling contract, and a spread in a major fashion magazine.

groundhog…is just one week from today!

I can’t wait for the little guy’s ”prediction” of (hopefully) an early spring!  But, more than that, this reminds me that I’ve never seen that movie all the way through.  Well, let me clarify — I’ve seen the whole thing but never in one full sitting (just random bits ‘n pieces over the years).

Here’s my plan:  if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, I’ll wait 6 more weeks to see the movie.  And if he doesn’t see his shadow, I’ll watch the movie early.

We’ll see! Exciting plan, I know…

Local, in your backyard & within yelling distance!

Army Staff Sgt. Rick Ramirez of Independence keeps finding his American and POW flags, on the ground, in his yard.  Of course, traditionally, flags should never touch the ground.  Rick is new to his neighborhood, and hopes it has nothing to do with being Latino and a US. Army recruiter.  Of course, neither is a good excuse for such.  Rick, if you’re ever missing a flag, I’ll buy you another!

Music!

In 2004, MARQUE LYNCHE of ST. PETERSBURG FL, next to TAMPA, made itup to the semi finals of “AMERICAN IDOL”.  A great effort!  This year, his brother MICHAEL “BIG MIKE” LYNCHE, made it to the TOP24!  How did Iknow that?  MICHAEL LYNCHE’S dad … told their local newspaper!  That instantly broke the show’s confidentiality clause, booting MICHAEL off the show!  Can you imagine how livid he is!!!!

HollyWeIrd!

Three years ago, MEL GIBSON’s drunken DUI tirade and anti-Semitic comments, helped show him the way towards counseling, 3 years of probation, a fine and apologies.  Recently he was at an LA TV station talking about his new movie “EDGE OF DARKNESS”, with co-star RAY WINSTONE, which opens Friday.  The interviewer asked about whether he’ll be accepted back onto the big screen due to the things he said in the past.  Mel asked him, “do you have a dog in this fight, or are you trying to be impartial?”  The interviewer verball stepped back, saying he was aiming for impartiality.  Mel said he hoped people would accept him back.  My bet is … they will.

Bloggers are pounding the interviewer for rehashing old news, using his position to pick an ethnic bone, and missing the point of the interview.  Some are still disappointed in Mel’s past, present, and intend to boycott his new movie.  Others feel actors such as Johnny Depp have made far more broad and hurtful remarks to the masses, such as expressing his dislike for America, and moving his family to France.  That hasn’t stopped most for seeing his films.  For me, to err is human … to forgive … is divine…

I thought this was interesting. I didn’t author it, but it was sent to me via email and wanted to share.

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn’t slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the following.

Good idea…. One light bulb at a time . . . .

Check this out. I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments. They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in USA . Start looking…

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else – even their job. So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track. Let’s get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey’s candy. I noticed, though, that it is marked made in Mexico now.. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico … now I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything…

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off-brand labeled, “Everyday Value.” I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats – they were the same except for the price… The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in – get ready for this – the USA in a company in Cleveland, Ohio .

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here…

So on to another aisle – Bounce Dryer Sheets. .. . Yep, you guessed it, bounce cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA – the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from overseas companies!

(We should have awakened a decade ago …)

Let’s get with the program. …. Help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the U . S . A ..

I passed this on ……… will you???????

Wow, what a heartbreaking story!   Something tells me family get-togethers will never be the same in this family.   Breaking news from People.com

********************************************************************************

A moment of pride has turned to sorrow as an American Idol contestant has been cut from the competition after violating a confidentiality agreement, according to a report.

Michael Lynche (a.k.a. Big Mike) was reportedly told to pack his bags after his father revealed to his local Florida paper, The St. Petersburg Times, that Michael had made the top 24 — a violation of Idol rules requiring the singers and their families to keep the Hollywood week results quiet until they’re broadcast.

The New York Post, citing Idol spoiler site “Joe’s Place,” says Michael was replaced in the top 24 over the weekend.  FOX has declined to comment on the report.

Local, in your backyard & within yelling distance!

Received an email this weekend from BREA in NORTHLAND, applauding the over $58million raised for “Hope For Haiti”, but wondering when that and more could be raised for education, more affordable fuel efficient vehicles, and jobs for the masses of unemployed?  I had more phone calls than time would allow with a 50/50 split, feeling we’d done the right thing, or we need to take care of our own responsibilties first.  How do you feel?   Write me … blake@1065thewolf.com

WAL-MART is cutting over 11,000 SAM’S CLUB part-time food sample and showcase positions, which is about 10% of their staff, so they can hire another company that specializes in doing the same thing.  So, this won’t save WAL-MART money?  They recently announced cost cutting by closing 10 SAM’S CLUB locations, therefore 1,500 jobs.   Whatever they do, you rest assured it’s to save or make more, not lose.  That’s in any successful business.  However, at what cost?

HollyWeIrd!

One of the wealthiest guys on the planet was seen Saturday night, gettin’ his freak-on, with a young woman, at an after hours party at Sundance in Park City Utah.  This included him dancing on his own table top!  Guess he’s tired of just being known as “Mr. Microsoft”.  How do you explain that to your wife of 16 years, who wasn’t anywhere in sight … BILL GATES!?
