I just rode with the Missouri Army National Guard in a Blackhawk UH-60 Helicopter!
Just like the one Saddam Hussein rode in after his capture. We had a 30 minute flight
over the stadiums, downtown, and the Missouri River, then back to the Armory.
Every military personal on the flight has served duty time in Iraq, and are beyond
PROUD to have done so….thanks guys, you certainly have my respect!!
I asked Sergent Thompson if I could sign up, but I’m apparently WAY past the age limit!

If you’d like to inquire, contact Jennifer Archdekin

This is just the neatest thing — cancer-related causes have always been important to me, so I was really excited to see what’s in the works !

Mark your calendar for September 10 at 8pm, ET.  Martina McBride is part of the all-star lineup for the “Stand Up to Cancer” concert, raising money for cancer research.

And it’s gonna be everywhere:  you can see it live on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, the Style Network, TV One and VH1!

Also participating that night will be Stevie Wonder, Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Aaron Neville, Seth Rogen, Mandy Moore, Sharon Osbourne, the Edge, Reese Witherspoon and MORE!   The hosts will be Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams.

I read that when they did this in 2008,  over $100 million was raised — let’s hope they can do it again!

Remember Sunday night’s at Houlihan’s in OP, circa 1987??

I hosted the Lip-Sync Show every Sunday night and opened each show with one, like Men At Work’s “Who Can It Be Now”

Comments and “roasting” is welcomed!

Lightfoot this Saturday night at the Uptown & you could be there with me!
We’ll go backstage for a meet & greet!
Just tell me why you’re Gordon’s BIGGEST FAN! Something short & to the point, I’ll draw the winner(s) tomorrow by 4pm…

It’s been a busy summer and a lot of things still left to do, but mostly just enjoy the space we created in the back yard.

Photobucket

So that’s the end of the home improvement blog for now. It’s finally starting to cool off a little. I’m hoping that means more time relaxing and less time working on projects around the house. I love cooking and grilling and I have a feeling that may be where I lead this blog over the late summer and fall.

Facebook BFFs!

Posted in: Laurie

Check this out — our pal Reba just hit yet another milestone!  Her number of Facebook fans has passed the one million mark.

Now, I’m not psychic  ;-) , but I’m sure Reba would want you to be a fan of the Wolf’s Facebook page, too!  Once we hit 50,000 people on the page, we’ll throw a huge Facebook friends PARTY — and you can help decide who performs at the par-tay!!

While you’re at it, please join my page, if you haven’t already.  We have FUN together every day!
