Nothing like getting a notice from the Department of Revenue, that I owe almost $5,000…especially when I don’t. Had an interesting chat with their peeps Thursday and learned that yes, they made another mistake on my taxes! Doesn’t it feel good to know you’re right!  :)  About two years ago the Feds said that I had made an extra 50 grand to the penny in 2005 with a company I never worked with. Again…WRONG!

Next Tuesday through Thursday, be ready to “Text In To Win” around 6:10, 7:10, and 8:10 for tickets to Easton Corbin at The Beaumont Club November 18th. Plus, Free 10 Second Tuesday, I’ll give you 10 seconds to do whatever you want to do on the radio. (Except Commercials)

The Kansas City T-Bones have a 56-38 record, they’re hitting .297 as a team, and they’ve qualified for the playoffs where they have a chance at being the #1 seed. They play the Redhawks tonight at 6:05!

Labor Day Monday will be one of the best days so far this year, to buy a vehicle…because most delearships have to sell their 2010’s asap and will be offering extra incentives!

Great to be back from Vacay! If you didn’t hear this morning around 8:12, Thursday I was at Kill Creek Lake and witnessed the strangest sight I’ve ever seen while fishing. A catfish was swimming with his head out of water making that noise that they make oh so well like…HONK HONK HONK…it stopped before getting to the bank swimming in perfect circles doing the same thing, the proceeded straight to me on the bank. My wife was yelling GET THE FISH, GET THE FISH! Which I did with one hand. Upon holding it up in mid-air it kept making that Honk noise, due to it checking in rather low on the catfish brain scale meter, I let it go. My wife thought I was crazy, but I thought the fish was!

Listen tomorrow around 6:10 for KC Limits artist Bleu Edmonson tickets, then around 7:10 and 8:10 for actor/comedian Damon Wayans tickets, and around 7:12 be part of “Free 10 Second Tuesday” I’ll give you 10 seconds of free time on the radio to do whatever you want to. (excluding product or company ads) Wish your son good luck with football season, tell your daughter that Homecoming Dances don’t have to suck, tell someone special you love them, congratulate someone on something they’ve done, it’s your 10 seconds so make it count at 576-7000!

Most Missourians have an average of 15 drug prescriptions, making it the 9th most medicated state! Plus, 64% are obese! Check with your doctor, and if o.k. walk three to five times per week. It will quickly burn off those early morning convenience store cinnamon rolls! I Swear!!!

Almost 25% of us don’t have 1 true friend, and experts say to build one, make appointments with new friends and in groups if possible, so you don’t have to repeat so much when separate. Plus, talk about stuff that matters, it proves that you care!

Thanks for all the texts and calls today. We chatted about on-line dating and it seems a ton of you agree that it is a great way to meet people. Especially Ellen in Independence. She met her husband on-line, when they were both 11, playing yahoo pool instead of doing homework. They got married when they were 18 and have been happily married for 2 years and just had a baby!

33 Year old Josh McCallum of Neosho MO, who’s serving 17 years at the Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green. Last August he sent a threatening letter to President Obama, saying he needed to be shot! now he’ll do 19.5 years! He receives the Blake Powers “Jackass Award of the Day!”

Watched Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables” on Friday. Being #1 having taken in $35 mil, he’s proved he isn’t. He was waiting to see how well you liked the movie, before considering a sequel. Think you know what’s coming next. He says he’ll add new faces to the next.

KCMO schools are back in session, if you had to go back, what grade do you think you could pass? 4th, 5th? Do you know a 4th or 5th grade teacher? Watched “The Other Guys” with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg over the weekend. On a scale of one to five red vines, I give it three and a half…I’ll let you choose the other half! Enough laughs to make it worth your time!

I’ve given up on going outside! I prefer not carrying an oxygen tank!

One week before most go back to school. Hope the Missouri Sales Tax Holiday Weekend saved you some coin! Mom and Dad if you haven’t finished shopping, just remember, most anything with a military design is hot, but not insignia. Remember most who have served or are serving don’t appreciate others wearing military insignia!
